Summary:
This page is intended to accompany the “Building Envelope Fundamentals” training offered by ENBIX. This training workshop explores the basics of the building envelope. The building envelope comprises the major components that separate the outside from the inside, including walls, basements, windows, and ceilings. Building envelopes perform several different functions, including air barriers, vapour barriers, thermal barriers, and weather barriers.
This session focused mostly on residential applications, but many learnings will be applicable to other applications as well.
