Join ENBIX and SSRIA to explore residential building technologies used in Alberta. In each learning session, we’ll showcase popular and conventional solutions that contribute to airtight, low-carbon and high-performing buildings. Learn the basic principles, benefits and considerations of each technology, so you can make the best choices for your projects.
This session will focus on Structural Insulated Panels (SIPs), which (SIPs) are high-performance, prefabricated building panels used for walls, roofs, and floors in residential and commercial construction. They consist of a rigid foam insulation core (typically EPS) sandwiched between two structural facings, usually oriented strand board (OSB). SIPs offer superior energy efficiency, strength, and faster on-site assembly compared to traditional framing.
This session will feature 3 different SIPs, focusing on the benefits of each.
Speakers:
BTR Board: BTRboard is an innovative building solution that keeps you warmer in winter and cooler in summer while also creating a quieter, safer, more energy efficient home.
ZS2 Technologies: TechPanel® provides a 3-in-1 solution. This integrated approach enhances energy efficiency, accelerates construction, and ensures a more durable, sustainable building envelope.
SIS Panels: Structural Insulated Sheathing (SIS) Panels combine structural sheathing and exterior insulation into one smart product that enhances energy efficiency without adding time, labor, or complexity.
