Join Alberta Ecotrust Foundation | ENBIX as we explore Ground Source Heat Pumps (GSHP) for builders. Ground Source Heat Pumps are super efficient heating and cooling devices offering excellent comfort, performance, and very low operating costs. Ground Source Heat pump systems also present special challenges for builders.  They require specialized design knowledge, installation of ground loops, careful sizing, and management of capital costs.

This workshop will give builders an introduction GSHP systems including:

  • what advantages they offer,
  • major components
  • proper system sizing
  • impact on the construction schedule
  • Case studies of various projects

This session will cover both residential and commercial applications and empower builders to pursue these projects.

This session is presented by Alberta Ecotrust Foundation via the Emissions Neutral Building Information Exchange (ENBIX).  ENBIX is supported by the Codes Acceleration Fund from NRCan.
