Alberta Context: This page is intended to accompany the “Ground Source Heat Pump for Builders” training offered by ENBIX. This training offers an introduction to the principles of Ground Source Heat Pumps (GSHP). It features information on Alberta climate, regulations, and building practices.
Summary:
Ground Source Heat Pumps are super-efficient heating devices offering excellent comfort, heating and cooling and very low operating costs. GSHP systems also present special challenges for builders. These systems require specialized design knowledge, installation of ground loops, careful sizing, and management of capital costs.
This workshop will give builders an introduction to the elements of a GSHP system, what advantages they offer, how to size these systems, and how they can be integrated into projects.
